You've probably become very good at trying to work out what's wrong.
You wake up and reach for your phone.
Perimenopause. Cortisol. Another woman saying hormone therapy changed her life. Someone else saying you need to work on your nervous system first, that's what will fix it.
You save the post.
You've already talked to your doctor. Maybe you've had the blood tests. Maybe everything came back "normal." Maybe you were offered HRT. Maybe you tried it. Maybe it helped one thing and left you wondering about everything else.
So you keep looking.
Your heart races after coffee. Should you stop drinking it?
You wake up exhausted after a reasonable night's sleep. Is it ferritin? B12? Thyroid? Hormones?
You've learned about trauma. You've learned about inflammation.
And still, you don't quite feel like yourself.
Not because you haven't tried hard enough.
You have a lot of pieces. What you may be missing is perspective.

I'm Dr. Victoria Dahl, a physician, somatic hypnotherapist and women's health educator.
I help women make sense of persistent symptoms, hormonal changes and the confusing transition into midlife by looking at the whole picture, not just one piece of it.

Hormones matter. Understanding what happens to your body during perimenopause matters.
And when hormone therapy is appropriate, it can make a profound difference.
But hormones are not the whole story.
Your brain is changing. Your nervous system is responding. Your body has a history. And you are living through a stage of life that may ask you to reconsider how you want to live, what matters to you, and what you want the years ahead to look like.

Body
How are you experiencing your body? What is happening physiologically, and how can you become more comfortable being in your body?

Brain
What is your brain doing with all of this? How does it shape your thoughts, sensations, attention and sense of threat? And how can you learn to work with your mind rather than be pulled around by it?

Direction
What matters to you now? What do you want this next stage of your life to be about? And what choices, habits and actions support that direction?
